We are very glad you are interested in Grace Fellowship! You will find that we are a friendly congregation who are eager to meet and welcome you. We are always glad to answer any questions you have about our church. The following information may be helpful.
Sunday Morning Worship
Our Sunday morning service begins at 10 am and usually lasts about two hours. Normally our worship in song is in two segments lasting a total of around thirty minutes. Our church incorporates a variety of praise and worship choruses with occasional hymns. Words for the songs are easily followed on the projector screen. Everyone is free to worship at appropriate times and in Biblical ways such as with singing, hands lifted, clapping, dancing, or kneeling. We invite people to stand during these times. However, anyone is free to remain seated.
Between the two worship segments are our announcements, prayer over needs, and regular offering. During the offering we encourage people to greet and welcome one another.
We allow for the operation of spiritual gifts as the Holy Spirit wills within Scriptural order (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). Sometimes we pray for the sick (James 5:14) or other needs as the Holy Spirit directs.
The preaching of the Word is an important part of each service. The Pastor is committed to the faithfully preaching and teaching of God's Word. Children are released to Sunday School just prior to the message.
Although our services are generally over around noon, we want each one to feel free to respond to God during our altar calls without time restraints. Therefore if people are responding we do not always have an official end (or Benediction) to our service. During the altar call we ask everyone to reverence what God is doing by waiting until the altar call has ended before leaving. Of course, if people need to leave at a certain time, they are free to do so. On the first Sunday morning, we share together in the Lord's Supper.
Children and Youth
Our church is kid friendly. We have an Infant Nursery available for ages newborn through one year old. Our Tots N Training is for children ages two and three. Children ages Pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade are released to go to their Sunday School classes just prior to the morning sermon. Youth meet on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.
Our Sunday evening events begin at 6:00 p.m. The schedule is a follows:
First Sunday evening of each month: Family Food, Fun, and Fellowship. On the first Sunday evening of each month we meet together in our fellowship hall to share a meal together. Everyone who is able is encouraged to bring sandwiches, chips, drinks, desserts to share. Then we proceed to the back lawn to enjoy outdoor fellowship. Some play volleyball, touch football, and horseshoes while other simply enjoy sitting around to visit. You might want to bring your own lawn chair. The smaller kids play on the playground equipment or chase and play. The nursery is closed. If weather is bad, we move our fellowship indoors. Sometimes we schedule special events at other locations.
Second, third, fourth, and fifth Sunday evenings: Connection Groups. These small groups meet in various locations. People are free to choose the group they want to attend and to change when they feel their needs change. Their purpose is to encourage connection with God and connection with one another in Christian fellowship. You can find out our latest group listings by calling our church office at (903) 683-6550. We also try to keep a current list posted on our website.

Our church has a formal membership. We are always excited when God adds new individuals and families to our church. If you are interested in discovering how you and your family can join the membership of Grace Fellowship, simply give us a call, drop by, or ask one of our ushers for a Membership Packet that contains the information you need. If you decide to join, simply return the completed membership form to the Pastor who will discuss this decision with you. It is common for us to present new members before the congregation to be welcomed by the church body into our family.
